Lammas 2015 P2 Nether Largie by day

Lammas 2015 P2 Nether Largie by day

Geographically we had only travelled about a quarter of a mile through Kilmartin Glen, yet we had seen many fascinating and energetic megaliths. Now back together, Kal and I approached the Nether Largie South Cairn together. The sun was out as we approached, and all the dire predictions of doom-laden skies were dispersing as quickly as the dark clouds around us. Summer was making itself felt on this early August day. Another “dispersal” of rock debris around the base, as though this preserved the interior better. I dowsed an entrance barrier that was a full 4ft deep. Further dowsing telemetry revealed that the structure was created 5,635 years ago. This would make the construction date 3620 BCE. Undiscovered Scotland put the date between 5,500-5,600...

Power object created

Power object created

I noticed today that I check the energies (and do some work if needed) more often than I clean my rooms. Not that my abode isn’t clean, you understand. Anyway, I was up bright and earlier than normal and had one of them urges to check the energies of my rooms. I grabbed the rods and threw them on to the bed as I went through my morning ablutions. Note: I threw the rods on the bed to avoid the SEP (Somebody Else’s Problem) field. This is a phenomena that both Chris and I have observed in ourselves, in each other and in the world at large behaviour. Simply put, there seems to be some aversion to doing energetic work on oneself or ones own area of living. We haven’t explored it at length as “IT” itself suffers from the same phenomena. ...

Bodfari – Healing our past

I landed in Liverpool after an exciting time in Italy where I had quested for the final element, the element of Air. With that beautiful success in my heart I was eager to continue. Chris picked me up at the airport and we were off to the wilds of Wales. Backstory… Many years ago when we had just started out on this remarkable journey we found a pair of boots that were many sizes too big for our feet. We were learning knowledge faster than we were gaining wisdom and so inevitably we made mistakes. One of these was on a high hill in the midst of Wales near a town called Bodfari. One late evening we had ventured to the top of this hill with the idea of creating our own sacred site. Were we novices at the task. No. We were not even on the threshold of...

Creating a Healer at Avebury

Creating a Healer at Avebury

After Belas Knap in Gloucestershire where would a journeying Hedge Druid and Edge Wizard go next? Why, to Avebury, of course. Er….right. Because it’s an hour and half in the wrong direction! Nevertheless, somehow Kal persuaded me that there was time and a good enough reason. I don’t know what it was, but it seemed good at the time. Actually, what started as a good excuse to go to the Avebury village bookshop turned out to be a very revealing and educational affair. I learned a lot about the notion and initiation of becoming a healer, and now I know exactly what I will be trying to do on my next visit. Let me explain how Avebury stone circle can be used to initiate an energetic healer! 98, 36, and 12 I dowsed my way around the circle beginning at...

The Maiden Enforces Rest – Solstice 5

The Maiden Enforces Rest – Solstice 5

We weren’t sure how to approach Maiden’s Bower – a turf maze in Yorkshire. Coming from Ripon, down the A1(M) once more, ending up in the village of Topcliffe. In the village we took Winn Lane, which goes back over the A1 road. On the other side there was just enough space to park the car, and then we followed the straight track until a stile took us across the farmland. The first feature you encounter is Cock Lodge – a raised earthwork of substantial proportions. At first we thought this might be the thing we were looking for, but luckily I had seen a picture on Megalithic Portal of the place we were searching for – this wasn’t it. I asked the dowsing rods to lead me to the correct place, and they took me alongside Cock Lodge...

Oak Healing and Ley Lines – Solstice 4

Oak Healing and Ley Lines – Solstice 4

In the fourth part of my Winter Solstice outing I provide an example of what can happen if you let yourself be intuitively guided when you are out and about. Fixed agendas are all very well, but when following an energetic spiritual path then fixing events can be counter-productive (to say the least). We were hungry. We had been up since early morning, travelling to Yorkshire, and then moving around the Ripon area for several hours seeking adventure. I wondered whether the National Trust property of Fountains Abbey might have not only a cool holy well to visit, but also a good cafeteria where we could get some warming food. Turns out they have both, but we only got to sample the food. When I thought about the size of the estate and the amount of daylight we had...
