It’s not what you think – Egypt 1

It’s not what you think – Egypt 1

When does an adventure begin? It is always hard to find a point to identify as the beginning. What you end up with is a starting point that you are comfortable with. A place that seems befitting to be called a start rather than the start. So my arrival at Sharm el Sheikh is a starting point for this series of adventures. As a previous post relates, I had added an additional stop to my Egypt trip so as to take in a performance by the beautiful Kim Wilde at a light switching on event. The show was scheduled to take place at a place called Soho Square. My hotel was some 30 minutes from that place and as I travelled to that location I noticed a poster board. It proclaimed that Bonnie Tyler would be performing at the evening show. What! Seriously! I was disappointed....

Egypt: Fire, Amber and Kim Wilde

Egypt: Fire, Amber and Kim Wilde

Summer solstice 2014 and we were in Ireland, just on the borders of Cork. The sacred site in question was Drombeg. If you hop over here ((Drombeg, Fay and an Amber secret), you can read about that tale. One of the things that was revealed on the trip was that a trip to Ireland was in order, for two reasons… Elemental Quest: To claim the element of Fire for my quest. In Ireland I had gained the element of Water and with it the power to see into the Depth of things. I had previously claimed the element of Earth from Carnac in Brittany, France and with it the ability to anchor (and ground) myself in the Earth. Since claiming both those elements I have been practicing combining there benefits to do some amazing work. Wand Maker Quest: For a few years now I have...

Irresistable Full Moon at the Edge

Irresistable Full Moon at the Edge

It was the full moon last night and frankly, it was irresistible. I had to go out and gather in its energy. The wood of the wizards at Alderley Edge seemed to be inviting me so I set off to the sounds and flashes of Fireworks. England was celebrating Guy Fawkes night. As is is usual for this night, the air had a soft haze to it, no doubt from the many fires that were lit across the country. About an hour and some minutes later I parked up by the wood and grabbed my satchel of tools. I didn’t feel like venturing in too deep as I have the habit of getting lost in this wood. So I let the rods decide where it is that I should go. After a few minutes walk I realised that they were taking me to a place where I had connected with the depths of the Earth and so...

Samhain, Nine Ladies, Fay, Goddess and a Wand

It began with me dowsing for what needed to be taken on an outing. My destination was the Nine Ladies sacred site in Derbyshire. It has to be said that it draws both Chris and I every samhain. This time however it was to be a lone trip as Chris was leaping up the slopes of Kilimanjaro. My dowsing created an unusual bundle of items. Tarot cards (their first outing) Candles (with glass case – for wind resistance) Incense A heart-shaped quartz crystal Gold coin (which was imbued with heart opening energy in Carnac by The Fay) An impressive list, usually it is just incense. Still with this kit in tow, I set off for the fabled Nine Ladies. Even with the days drawing to a close, I arrived in the daylight. Which is another rarity for this site as we are often here...

Faery of Ireland Reveal an Amber secret

Faery of Ireland Reveal an Amber secret

It was our very last minutes at a sacred place in the Emerald Isle. For the sum total of my adventure there here is the link. Kal spends the summer solstice in Ireland. Drombeg is the name of the place we were at and although Chris (aka Gwas) was raring to get going to the airport I was held in place by more ritual work to be done. From the other posts you will learn that this trip had been very much about the Water element. In particular learning how to use it to see into the Depth of the things. In my last post, I mentioned that I had just received a gift from the Fay and was still in commune with them. (from previous post…) A curious thought occurred to me, could I see into the depth of them? I cast about for some water and found a little sneak view of...
