The Tainted Talisman

The Tainted Talisman

Holidays are a wonderful thing. Here I was, roaming along the southern coastline of Albion, the sun was shining and I had no agenda – no physical, mental or spiritual work to achieve this week. Yet something was nagging at me. When re-stocking our motorhome I had re-discovered a treasured item – a necklace that I associated strongly with the Merlin energy. When I picked up the necklace it felt… “neglected”,, but more than that. “Tainted” may be a better word. Not strongly, but enough to cause me to wish to set that right. It was in the back of my mind one evening as I let thoughts bubble to the surface, and I tried to get a glimpse of what I should do about it. In my vision I saw an old gnarled tree – maybe an oak?...

Protection and how to make an Ass of yourself

Protection and how to make an Ass of yourself

I have been around the block enough time to know better and yet I am still flabbergasted by my ability to not follow my own advice. Last night, I get a message from a friend…“I have a headache, can you send me some healing please?” A simple enough request and one that was easily fulfilled. I won’t go into the understandings behind healing, sending and any other logistical concerns. If you don’t believe that it can be done. Fair enough. However what I will go into is the backlash that I got. Of course I had grounded and protected myself. It’s standard operating procedure. Given that, I was surprised when a few minutes after completing the ceremony (yes there is one) that I began to get a headache of my own. It was only a small...

Spring 2015-P2 – Blood from a stone

Spring 2015-P2 – Blood from a stone

In the second of my Spring Equinox 2015 posts I recount a short tale about memory and stone. We had travelled northwards after scooting around the area of Rutland – an unusual area that very few people would be able to point to on a map of the country. Our searches for some sacred springs and well needed more time than we were prepared to give it. Therefore we settled on finding the Grimston Monolith at the small village of Grimston. You know what? Turns out we got the wrong stone! I thought it stood inside the churchyard, so when we found a stone in there we latched on to that. No wonder it didn’t have any energy! What it DID have was a story, however. I was surprised to find that the stone had no subtle energies. I believed it to have been excavated...

The Energy of Prayer 2 of 3

The Energy of Prayer 2 of 3

In my previous post here I gave an outline of the energy that I had found in Laila (and her husbands) home. What was puzzling to me was that in the guest bedroom there was a predominance of positive energies. In fact 3/5ths of the positive energy was in that room. More curious they were in a rather innocuous place on the floor next to the bed. You know, I don’t think I have ever been on a house dowse where I have not learned something new. Every home has a story to tell and each story varies in its layout, telling and (since that is what I am there for) in its changing or transformation. Having learned something of the layout I decided to bring this knowledge to the owner and query what it could mean. I want you to notice my modus operandi since it has been...

Time Space Place Presence Intention

Time Space Place Presence Intention

A simple question often leads to a complex answer. So it was in this instance. A couple of friends and I had the opportunity to watch a film called Oui-Ja. It wasn’t my idea, quite the opposite. However I bowed to the majority and so found myself suffering through another Hollywood attempt at depicting the para-normal. Now, apart from all this hedge druid nonsense (or should I say Edge Wizardry?) I had and have a propensity for delving rather deeply into the nooks and crannies of the world of the Paranormal. In fact it is an interest that has plagued me for most of my life. So it wasn’t a surprise when the conversation turned to the validity and usage of Oui-Ja boards. Herein I have discoursed on the matter before (hedge druids and ouija) However...

Rooted In The Earth

Rooted In The Earth

Thor’s Cave is one of those special places that leaps to mind when someone you haven’t been on an outing with leaves it up to you to make the decision about where to go. If the criteria is “impressive”, “great views” or “dry” then Thor’s Cave fits the bill. On a dull and drizzly January day I drove with the shaman Debra Delglyn, her Buddhist brother “V.P.” and the inspirational meditator John Kirby to Staffordshire. What else is there to do on a Tuesday? We parked in the village of Wetton which is situated above The Manifold Valley, at the northernmost end of Staffordshire, bordering on Derbyshire, and not far from the town of Leek. Even though I’d been here twice before I had a bit of...
