Check, Please

NOTE from Chris: This is Kal’s last ever post. Even its title is incredibly ironic. There is this common misconception. In fact it is so common that I have fallen foul of it myself. But no more! A sacred life is one that has a reasonable amount of input from the universe or beings thereof. So, the universe has you wandering around the globe on quests that most of the time, you have no idea as to the where and why fores. You just up and go. We in the game call it Trust er…with a dash of Faith. However all of this gallivanting around has to come at some kind of economic detriment. After all, who is paying for these jolly jaunts? Yes, yours truly. Personally, I don’t think that’s fair and in fact neither does the Universe (or partners...

Life tumbles on OR Forty Rules of Love

Life tumbles on OR Forty Rules of Love

As you may know, one of the requirements of this wand that I am forging is a gift from the author Elif Shafak. Why you may ask, So have I. In fact I have no idea. I came across a Turkish saying the other day… “Divine guidance is to bring a man to perplexity” Seems quite appropriate to my life for the last eight or so years. Going back to the gift, I have no idea how I am going to acquire that. It’s the universes problem. I will follow the path, such as it is. Nevertheless, I have enjoyed reading her books and highly recommend them. A mere month ago I literally devoured an offering by Elif called, Forty Rules of Love. It is a historical novel based on the meeting between the now famous Sufi poet, Rumi and an itinerant Dervish named, Shams...

When the dowsing rods say YES

When the dowsing rods say YES

As you will know, if you read this journal a lot, that I am pretty good with making decisions in my life based on what I read from the rods as well as the signs and omens. Here is a question though… What do you do when the signs, omens and dowsing rods give you an unequivocal YES and your thinking and feelings are telling you, NO The first thing you can do is question whether you are in a fit state to ask the question…to which the answer is Yes. Of course you could then ask whether you are in a fit state to ask even that question, which then becomes ad nauseum. At some point you have to say, I’m okay. The next point of call is to ask whether you can actually ask the question you originally asked in the first place, to which the answer is Yes. So...

The uncertainty principle

This blog is pretty much filled with tales of our active adventures and then occasionally you’ll get a post like this one. A kind of summing up of our (in this case mine) thoughts on a topic that has some life within the realms of the sacred. In the world of particle physics there is a principle. It’s name is quite apt and forms the title of this post, the uncertainty principle. Basically, this principle tells of the notion that you can’t know both the position and the momentum of a particle at the same time. It seems to be a law of nature. I say seems, because you know what science is like, today’s laws are tomorrows opinions and next years burned text books. However as it currently stands, I like it. This notion of not being able to know...

You can share your aura

You can share your aura

This post is more of a self note – kind of like a selfie really. Often (or rather almost always) on this sacred journey many things are skipped, lost, forgotten or left by the wayside as unimportant (or so it seems). Posts like this are in order to avoid such misplacements. Whether these posts in and of themselves get forgotten is a matter for higher authorities. Imbolc 2015 and a admonishment from Caileach that I had not learned patience led her to take an active part in teaching me that. This began with her merging with my aura. Then  a couple of months later I was in commune with the higher self of another person who asked me to share my aura. Finally, last night I was at the Ancient Yew (Llangernyy) and again I was asked to share my aura. So what is all...

Solving car trouble the energetic way

For the last five years I’ve driven a silver Honda Accord. I loved that car. It has taken me all over the country and never failed in its job of providing comfort, security, safety and transport. Alas a couple of weeks ago someone slammed into the door and caused enough damage for it to written off by the insurers. Prologue… I had just driven home from spending the night at a friends. we had talked late into the night and I was, as they say, dog tired. As I got to my rooms my thoughts were on a long resting sleep (it was Saturday) However a friends text caught my attention and I replied that I would meet him in 30 minutes for a catch-up and coffee. “Why did I do that?” I asked myself as I got changed and attempted to freshen up. I picked...
