Summary of the Year 2015 Part 1

Summary of the Year 2015 Part 1

I was quite hesitant about producing “the usual” summary of the year. It has clearly not been a normal year. In fact, I would go as far as to say that the first half was good, but the second half took a much more dark and difficult turn. I’m not used to that. In all the years I have been reporting on my druidic life the challenges have always been ones of motivation, problem-solving and spiritual doubt. This year “life”, or rather “death”, stepped in a took hold of the reins for a while. The power of The Crone has been almost overwhelming in the dark half of the year. Nevertheless, I want to fulfil my expectations of producing a summary of where things have been going over this year. It can be a valuable tool for...

When the dowsing rods say YES

When the dowsing rods say YES

As you will know, if you read this journal a lot, that I am pretty good with making decisions in my life based on what I read from the rods as well as the signs and omens. Here is a question though… What do you do when the signs, omens and dowsing rods give you an unequivocal YES and your thinking and feelings are telling you, NO The first thing you can do is question whether you are in a fit state to ask the question…to which the answer is Yes. Of course you could then ask whether you are in a fit state to ask even that question, which then becomes ad nauseum. At some point you have to say, I’m okay. The next point of call is to ask whether you can actually ask the question you originally asked in the first place, to which the answer is Yes. So...

The Maze, Wheel and Labyrinth – Spring 1

The Maze, Wheel and Labyrinth – Spring 1

Yes, is the answer to your pre-sojourn question of, “Are you nuts?” The reason you are asking this question is because we told you that we drove some 250 miles to visit a turf maze. Now, that has to be a record even for us? Soon to be broken however when I visit Easter Island. Another story… The sun had yet to make a decent appearance when we arrived at the Maze around 9:30 am. I was shocked when I saw it. What had I expected. A maze of course. However this wasn’t the kind of maze I had in mind. In fact I immediately proposed a new rule to Chris… Should the place we are going be representative of this then I want to know about it and the ability to veto it. With that said I proceeded to check out the energies of the maze and its...

Camelot Tarot 2015 – The Latter Half

Camelot Tarot 2015 – The Latter Half

In the second half of the reading I explore the cards that were drawn for me on my journey from Lammas to the Winter Solstice this coming year. Things were not at all what I was expecting, and I think that has good and bad aspects. Good because I like my assumptions and pre-conditioning to be upset every now and again, and bad because of the portent that the signs have offered me. Read on to see where the signs point in the second half of the year. Lammas – Amangons at The Green Chapel By the time that Summer is in its full green garment we reach the festival of Lammas. It is at this point that I encounter the archetype King Amangons. This figure represents a darkness – a despoiler of the powers of the virginal maiden Brigid (Bride). It is interesting...

Carnac and the Sun Beltane 2014 – 04

In the previous post I outlined some of the signs that we missed and thus suffered a wet and fruitless first morning to our Brittany visit. Of course we finally realised that the 1st of May was a holiday and so much was closed. In fact we had been hard pressed to find a place to have lunch and the one place that did look open was interdit until the afternoon. So we ignored lunch and decided to head for the main site of the day and indeed the visit. Beltane was all about Carnac! Gwas had been there before but this was my first visit to this awesome sacred place. We parked up and crossed the road mingling with the many other visitors. Off to the back of the lanes there was a ramshackle set of buildings with a dilapidated sign outside offering Crepes. It not only...
